Surgery

We provide a service to surgical patients in Bristol Children's Hospital. This covers a wide range of conditions but are commonly infants and children who have had surgery affecting their digestive system which therefore has implications on their nutritional needs. We also regularly see patients who have had an enteral feeding tube placed surgically and work with families and carers to provide a feeding programme that optimises the patients nutritional status whilst helping them manage the practical challenges of their special diet within their daily lives.
