Your care and treatments

We are here to provide a service for the treatment of gynaecological problems for women across the South West. The service includes assessment by consultant, or a member of the medical team.

The gynaecology ward aims to provide prompt and effective diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological problems. This may include day surgery to more complex operations requiring a longer stay in hospital.

We aim to treat every woman in our care, their partners and relatives with sensitivity and compassion, using professional expertise to provide a high standard of individualised physical and psychological care.

We aim to maintain confidentiality, privacy and dignity at all times. The gynaecology ward values the importance of teamwork. Consultants, doctors, nurses, midwives, clinical nurse specialists, clerical and support staff, work together to ensure you receive the best possible care.
