Bristol Limb Reconstruction Service
The Bristol Limb Reconstruction (Limb Recon) Unit is based at
the Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) and provides a service for adult
patients.
Conditions managed include:
Elective (planned)
- Lower limb deformity (including rotational / axial
malalignment)
- Longstanding Bone infection
- Leg length discrepancy
- Post-traumatic deformity
Trauma (urgent)
- Complex lower limb trauma
- Fracture related infections (in combination with
Orthoplastics)
- Non-union and implant failure
- Peri-articular fractures requiring circular frame
fixation
Outpatient clinic appointments take place at
the BRI at A312 T&O Outpatients.
Consent clinics for any scheduled surgery
will take place at Gate 12, Brunel Building, Southmead
Hospital.
Surgery will take place on Level 3 Theatres,
Brunel Building, Southmead Hospital.
Follow-up appointments after surgery will
take place at the BRI at A312 T&O Outpatients.
Frame classes take place at the BRI
