Hepatology department
University Hospitals Bristol and
Weston Hepatology Department provides care for all aspects of
liver disease to our local population in central and south
Bristol, Weston-super-Mare, and the surrounding
areas.
We also provide regional
services for complex liver disease, for example liver cancer, hepatitis C,
complex portal hypertension and liver transplantation
(in collaboration with Royal Free Hospital,
London).
Our services are delivered
mostly at the
Bristol Royal Infirmary, with some services delivered at South
Bristol Community Hospital and outreach work. In 2023 we began
developing a Hepatology service at Weston General
Hospital.
We are a
