Training:
I qualified from The University of Sheffild in 2009 and remained
in the South Yorkshire deanery to complete my foundation and core
medical training. I took a year out to persue a full time MSc in
Sports and Exercise medicine and gained experieince working with
amature and elite athletes early on in my career.
My interest in musculosekeltal medicine led me to a career in
rheumatology. I moved to the South West to undertake my
specialist training in rheumatology and general internal medicine
within the Severn deanery, working in Bristol and at the the Royal
National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath.
I finished my rheumatology and general medicine training in 2022
and took up my consultant post at Bristol Royal
Infirmary.
Areas of interest:
I am a general rheumatologist with a particular interest in
connective tissue diseases and vasculitis. I am independently

part of the Early Inflammatory Arthritis service at UHBW. I also
run a combined clinic with orthoaedics for patients with complex
foot and ankle problems.
I am interested in clinical governance and audit. I am a QSIR

the clinical governance and audit lead for the department. I
am involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and organise
our local postgraduate (departmental) teaching.
