The team
Our growing adult acute Nutrition and Dietetics team at
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston is made up of specialist
dietitians, dietitians, and dietetic assistants; covering all of
the wards in the hospitals and outpatients, supporting a whole
range of specialities and clinical conditions from Food Policy to
Oncology. Additionally we have a dietetic team (HMS) dedicated to
supporting adults and children who use feeding tubes in the

Based mainly in Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) we also provide
services to St. Michael's Hospital, Bristol Eye Hospital, Bristol
Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC) and South Bristol Community
Hospital (SBCH).
As part of a teaching hospital we pride ourselves in training
the future dietetic profession, during certain periods of the year
we will host dietetic students from Plymouth University as part of
the team, allowing them to gain vital clinical experience.
All of our dietitians are registered with the Health and Care
Professions Council (HCPC). You can check the register here.
Dietitians are statutorily regulated, with a protected title and
governed by an ethical code, to ensure that they always work to the
highest standard.
