How is asthma managed?
We have compiled a list of things you can do to help
manage asthma symptoms:
- Ask for an asthma action plan to stay on top of your child's
symptoms. We can give you one or you can ask your GP for a
plan.
- Take your preventer inhaler every day.
- Carry your reliever inhaler with you everywhere.
- Ask how to use your inhaler properly to better manage your
symptoms. View these
videos between clinic visits to remind you how to take
your inhaler.
- Look out for symptoms. If your child is aged between 4-11
years, or 12 years and older, take this
questionnaire.
You can find out more about the treatments available, when they
may be prescribed and how they may help on the
Asthma + Lung UK website.
