UK's First Research Into the Effect of Exercise on Children with Congenital Heart Disease

Toshiba Medical Systems Ltd today announced a three-year research partnership with the University of Bristol and the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust‘s Clinical Research and Imaging Centre (CRICBristol). The first research study of its kind in the UK sees a collaboration with the Bristol Heart Institute (BHI) and the University of Exeter’s Children’s Health and Exercise Research Centre to investigate the effects of exercise on children with congenital heart disease - one of the most common types of birth defects that affects up to nine in every 1,000 children born in the UK today.    Read More
