Research grant development funding for nurses, midwives,
AHPs and Healthcare Scientists
UHBW is pleased to announce that it is making NIHR Research
Capability Funding available to support nurses, midwives, AHPs and
Healthcare Scientists to develop outline research proposals. These
would then lead on to larger research funding proposals or research
fellowship applications to a local (for example the UHBW and
Bristol and Weston Hospitals Charity Research Funding Committee,
which award small grants of up to £25,000) or to a national funder.
Funding would be provided for up to one day a week for a maximum of
6 months (or equivalent) and could be used to backfill time or for
additional hours.
The development of the outline research proposal and the
subsequent submission of a larger grant will require the support of
your line manager, and an experienced research mentor.
