Gynaecology

What we do

We treat all gynaecological problems including heavy, painful and irregular periods, abnormal vaginal bleeding or lack of periods, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, polyps, fibroids and gynaecological cancers. We also provide the Insertion/retrieval of coils and female sterilization.
Our clinics run at St Michael's Hospital and at Weston General Hospital, and include:

  • Early pregnancy assessment clinic (EPAC) for women with bleeding and/or pain in early pregnancy
  • Cancer exclusion clinic, including a 1-stop service
  • Colposcopy clinic
  • Endometriosis clinic
  • Gynaecological oncology clinic
  • Hysteroscopy clinic including polyp and fibroid removal
  • Joint endocrinology/gynaecology clinic (for those with Difference in Sex Development)
  • Menopause clinics (for women with complex menopause symptoms, and those experiencing menopause due to oncology treatment)

  • Pessary management clinic 
  • Reproductive medicine and recurrent miscarriage
  • Uterine artery embolization for the treatment of fibroids
  • Vulval problems clinic
