Outpatient pharmacy

The Trust has partnered with LloydsPharmacy Healthcare Services to provide an outpatient dispensing service at Bristol. The Lloyds Outpatient Pharmacy can be found in the Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) Welcome Centre.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 7:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
Bank Holiday: 9:00am to 5:00pm

This inbox is monitored regularly. You can also use this email to arrange a date for your home delivery or request a call back.

If you need to speak to us urgently, please call the BRI switchboard on 0117 923 0000 and ask to be transferred through to the Lloyds Outpatient Dispensary.

Prescription collection and delivery options

Collect from the Lloyds Outpatient Pharmacy at Bristol Royal Infirmary - open 7 days a week.

Collect from the Lloyds Outpatient Pharmacy at Weston General Hospital - open 6 days a week.

LloydsPharmacy Healthcare Services have teamed up with Day Lewis Pharmacy to provide a community store collection service.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take my prescription directly to the Day Lewis Pharmacy I want to collect from?

No, the prescription can only be dispensed by the Lloyds Outpatient Pharmacy in the BRI. Once it has been dispensed it will be sent out to the store for you to collect.

How long will it take for my prescription to be ready?

Collecting from a Day Lewis Pharmacy - The outpatient pharmacy team aim to have your items ready for you to collect within 72 hours.

Home delivery - The outpatient pharmacy team aim to have your items ready for dispatch within 24 hours and will contact you by phone to arrange a delivery date. 

If I have my prescription posted, do I need to sign for it?

Yes, the outpatient pharmacy team will contact you to arrange a date when you will be home to sign for the delivery.

What do I do if I can't get through to the store on the phone?

Whilst the outpatient pharmacy team strive to answer all calls, during busy periods this may not always be possible. If you email BristolOutpatientPharmacy@UHBW.nhs.uk with your number, brief query details and the best time to contact you, a member of the team will then call you back.
