Travelling to the BRI

The BRI is located in a very busy part of the city, with severely restricted roadside parking. Some parking is available and is shown on our site map, together with the location of disabled parking bays.

A free shuttle bus service is provided for patients, visitors and staff which stops outside the main BRI building. There are also a number of bus routes and park and ride facilities which stop at or near the BRI. Find out more about travelling to and from our hospital.

Audio guides to the Bristol Royal Infirmary emergency department

In partnership with the Bristol Sight Loss Council, we have developed a series of audio guides to help improve accessibility for blind or visually impaired people visiting the emergency department.

The guides describe what you will find during a visit and provide step-by-step instructions on how to make your way around the department and its facilities. Listen to the guides.

Research at UHBW

As well as providing clinical care, our Trust has an important role in research. This allows us to discover new and improved ways of treating patients. While under our care, you or your child may be invited to take part in research. To find out more and for contact details of the Research and Innovation department, please visit our website.
