Members of the Spiritual and Pastoral Care Team are here to
assist in the spiritual, religious and pastoral care of patients,
relatives and staff while they are in University Hospitals Bristol.
Out of hours the team shares patient care with Chaplains from North
Bristol Trust and the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health
Partnership.
We offer a point of contact for all spiritual and religious
needs. For those requests we cannot deliver ourselves, we can
contact representatives of faith communities in Bristol to meet a
particular need.
We offer a confidential listening ear and can help with ethical
questions and decisions.
Members of the team are all trained in aspects of Healthcare
Chaplaincy, and come from a variety of religious faiths and
traditions. We have an open approach to people of all faiths and
none. We are regularly on the wards and around the hospital and
requests can be given to any member of the team by patients,
relatives, staff or visitors.
