Is there an alternative to an online
application?
Yes, as a disability confident employer we
actively encourage applications from the whole community and we can
offer a number of alternatives. Please contact recruitment to hear
about any of these options.
I'm coming for an interview, do the
Trust reimburse travel costs and where can I park?
Unfortunately the Trust does not reimburse
travel costs. For car parking we suggest using one of the NCP's
around the city. Follow this link to see where is best for you to
park https://www.ncp.co.uk/.
Do you offer accommodation for
staff?
Take a look at our accommodation pages for more
information.
How long does the recruitment process
usually take?
The recruitment team aim to complete all
pre-employment checks within 15 working days. However, this is
heavily reliant on your engagement with the process. If you have
any issues please contact Resourcing on 0117 34 25000 option 1.
I need to complete an Occupational
Health Assessment. How do I do this?
- You will find a link in your conditional offer
that will explain how to complete the Occupational Health
Assessment. If you have any issues completing this please contact
the Occupational Health team on 0117 34 23400.
How long will it take for my DBS to
clear?
A DBS check can take anywhere between 1 and 60
days depending on the level of check and how many local police
authorities you have lived in. Unfortunately, the Trust cannot
escalate any cases with the DBS until the application has reached
60 days.
How long is the corporate
induction?
There are a variety of induction programmes that
you might be placed on in your first week of employment with
us.
Depending on your induction it could last 1 1/2
days or up to 5 days. Please check your programme manual for
details, or click here to find out
more.
What's the dress code for
induction?
For induction you should attend in a
smart-casual attire, no jeans.
When do I find out about my
salary?
All of our job adverts show what band you will
paid and the salary range of that band. Should you want to discuss
this further you can explore this with your appointing manager at
interview or after you have received confirmation of your offer.
The Trust has an internal process to sanction salary above the
bottom of the band.
Should I hand in my
notice?
The Trust suggests that you do not hand in your
notice at your current job until you have received your
unconditional offer of employment as the Trust can at any given
time withdraw your conditional offer.
