Education, learning and development
If we are going to provide the quality of treatment and care
that we want to, we need a workforce with the right skills. And
that is even more important
to us than the great reputation we've earned for training and
development, not to mention equality of access to career
opportunities.
As soon as you join us, you'll attend a comprehensive induction
programme and agree a personal, yearly development plan with
your
manager; this will cover your essential training requirement as
well as both your personal and professional development needs. And
we have an impressive range of resources to help you follow that
plan.
Our purpose-built Education Centre features lecture theatres,
tutorial rooms, a clinical skills teaching room, the Bristol
Medical Simulation Centre, two library and IT training rooms.
The Trust works in partnership with a number of organisations to
support with education, learning and training, such as South
Bristol Academy, Severn Postgraduate Medical Education, schools,
colleges and universities.
