As a child or young person you will usually be seen at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children for your appointments. 

The spinal service at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children sees patients from across the South West. When you move to adult services you will usually be seen by your spinal consultant but other members of the team will change, you will meet different people but in roles that you will be familiar with from the children's team.

The location of appointments will also be different as the adult spinal service in Bristol is based at Southmead Hospital.  Appointments in the adult clinic will be structured differently and you will find questions about your health will be directed to you. Your spinal consultant will explain these differences before you transition to adult services.
