Surgery
Epilepsy Surgery can be a treatment option for some people who continue to experience seizures despite anti-epileptic medication. There are several different types of surgeries that are performed following a thorough investigation and assessment at an epilepsy surgery centre. You can find out more information here.
Due to the specialist nature of the assessment and surgery children and young people are required to go to a designated Children's Epilepsy Surgery Service (CESS). Bristol Children's Hospital is the centre covering the South West and Wessex regions.
You can ask your team for more information or contact the CESS team at Bristol.
