You have probably been given a lot of information about food and diet in diabetes. You might worry that you need to follow a special meal plan or that you are not allowed to eat your favourite foods anymore. But don't panic- no foods are banned.
Food advice for people with diabetes is exactly the same as for people without - everyone is advised to eat a healthy, balanced diet that's low in fat, sugar and salt, with plenty of fruit and vegetables.
