Bone Conduction Hearing Device

Bone conduction hearing devices are a type of hearing aid that uses your body's ability to transfer sound through bone conduction. Some devices involve wearing a soft or hard band with the device clipped to and with others a sound processor is fitted during a surgical procedure, both types convert sound into vibrations. These are sent through your skull bone directly to your inner ear. You might be considered for this type of hearing aid if you have an issue with your outer or middle ear or single sided deafness.
