What: 

We are responsible for oversight of all medications used as part of clinical trials within the Trust.

This means we ensure that the receipt, storage, accountability, dispensing and destruction are all done according to the trial protocol.

We usually have around 120 open trials across all the specialties.

We look after all types of medications including tablets, capsules, injections, liquids, creams/ointments and even medical gases.

We also give advice to researchers who would like to set up their own clinical trial.
