What
We work across a number of clinical specialities, including:
- Medical Retina
- Uveitis
- Glaucoma
- Corneal
- Vitreo-retinal
- Retinal Vein Occlusion
- Diabetic Retinopathy/Macula Odema
The Clinical Research Unit runs a number of commercial and NIHR
portfolio studies. The majority of our studies are phase IIb-
IV, although we have had some experience with early phase trials
and are developing some further exciting opportunities in this
area.
In addition to our commercial and NIHR workload, we house an
experienced programme team who are leading on a 2 million pound
NIHR grant measuring and predicting cataract surgery outcomes. We
also have a small number of local investigator led projects where
we act as lead site
We also run dedicated research outpatient clinics Monday to
Friday (AM) and support the research set up, delivery and close out
including recruitment process, delivering treatments and follow
ups.
