CReSS Workshops
Clinical Research Start-up Seminars (CReSS) are for anyone in
UHBW, the University of Bristol or the University of the West of
England, Bristol, who is undertaking a new study, preparing a grant
application, or wanting to know how to get started in research. The
group provides guidance and peer-support for new and first-time
researchers. Members of other NHS organisations in Bristol
are welcome if places are available.

All workshops will be held via Teams. Please register via
the relevant link below. As numbers may be limited, please remember
to cancel if you cannot attend for any reason. Registration

Applying for a UHBW Research Capability Funding (RCF) /
Bristol and Weston Hospitals Charity (BWHC) small research
grant
This workshop is open to any medical
or non-medical UHBW employee or university academic holding an
honorary contract with UHBW, who is planning to apply for a small
grant under the Joint UHBW RCF / BWHC schemes, or wishing to know
more about the scheme.
Workshop content includes:
- how to complete the application form
- how to set up and manage a BWHC or RCF grant
- who to contact for support at each stage of the process
- how to identify eligible costs
