Rehabilitation
South Bristol Community Hospital has now
replaced most of the services which the Bristol
General Hospital provided for nearly 140 years.
Health and social services professionals work together in
integrated teams to look after patients with nursing and therapy
needs.
Around one in four people admitted to the hospital for
rehabilitation are stroke patients. Patients who have had a
stroke diagnosed and treated in hospitals, including Bristol Royal
Infirmary, now use this transferred rehabilitation service.
The care peovided here, is just one part of a package provided
by a number of healthcare professionals within the hospital and at
home.
