What to expect from HMS?

HMS will be with you for the duration of your tube feeding journey.

The Dietitian will nutritionally assess, treat, monitor and reviews patients. The frequency of reviews is dependent on an individual clinical need but ranges from weekly visits to annual reviews. The Dietitian will offer support to empower patients/carers to become self-managing with their feeding tube in the community.

The Dietetic Assistants weigh, monitor and review stable patients - always feeding back to your Dietitian.

HMS will also provide reassurance and support to patients, carers and parents who need increased involvement to cope with tube feeding at home.  We will also help prevent hospital admissions through proactive tube feeding troubleshooting.
