Appointments
Location
The BRI is located in the centre of Bristol close to Bristol bus
and coach station. There is a set down bay directly
outside and opposite the hospital on Upper Maudlin Street. Our
hospitals are located in very busy areas of the city, with severely
restricted roadside parking. Some parking is available and is shown
on our site
map, together with the location of disabled parking bays.
Appointments
Our surgical clinics run from Clinics A410 (was clinic 9) and
A407 (was clinic 10) located on level 4 of the main building of the
BRI.
Monday
Oesophago gastric surgical Clinic
09:30- 12:30 *
*Pre-op assessment and anaesthetic assessment appointments
available between 10:00-16:00.
Thursday
Osophago gastric Surgical and Follow-up clinic
09:00-13:00.*
*Pre-op assessment appointments available between 09:00-
17:00.
*Anaesthetic Assessment available from 13:30 onwards.
If you have come to discuss surgical treatment options we may
ask you to stay for pre-operative assessment. This can take an
additional 1-2 hours.
We also offer a Nurse-led clinic
This is used for routine follow up after surgery for upper GI
cancers
- Assessment for prehabilitation
- Holistic needs assessment (HNA)
- Face to face discussions with patients and families where
appropriate
These run alongside our consultant clinics and offer more
flexibility for patients to access our service and clinical
expertise. They would replace a consultant appointment on that
occasion only; patients will remain under an upper GI consultants
care.
Nurse-led clinics are available:
Mon 09:00-4:30pm and Thursday 09:00-12:30 level 4 A410
