The Children's Burns Research Centre is a consortium led by the
Children's Burns Research Team at University Hospitals Bristol NHS
Foundation Trust in partnership with the University of the West of
England, University of Bath and University of Bristol.
Appearance Matters at UWE Bristol
The Centre for Appearance Research (CAR) hosts a conference
series, called Appearance Matters, for health professionals and
researchers. It focuses on the psychosocial issues around
appearance and the provision of appropriate supportive care for
people affected by appearance concerns of any sort, including those
as a result of a burn injury.

The Centre for Appearance Research has its own podcast,
'Appearance Matters: The Podcast' - This podcast explores the world
of appearance; presenting new insights and advances in research, as
well as perspectives from researchers, clinicians, charities and
