What we do
The Oculoplastic service covers conditions affecting
displacement of the eyelids, tumours of the eyelids and surrounding
areas, lacrimal gland conditions, failure of the tear drainage
system, orbital tumours and thyroid eye disease.
Outpatient clinics are held on the Ground Floor of the Eye
Hospital.
Conditions we treat
- Entropion and ectropion
- Ptosis
- Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma of the
lids
- Nasolacrimal duct obstruction
- Orbital tumours
- Thyroid eye disease (TED)
- Blepharospasm
Treatments we offer
We provide medical treatment (including immunosuppression for
TED, and botulinum toxin for entropion and blepharospasm)
and surgical treatment for lid and orbital tumours, etropion,
ectropion and ptosis.
Patients need to be referred by their GP or by the eye
department of another hospital
