What we do
The corneal clinic manages external eye disease involving the
conjunctiva, cornea and eyelid margins, and also assesses external
eye disease such as pterygia and marginal lid disease.
Outpatient clinics are held on the Ground Floor of the Eye
Hospital.
Conditions we treat
We treat infections such as conjunctivitis, keratitis, Meibomian
gland disease, corneal dystrophies and ectasias (for
example, keratoconus), conjunctival and corneal tumours and
corneal injuries.
Treatments we offer
- Medical treatment (eg antibiotics, antivirals, antifungal
drugs, steroids)
- Laser treatment (excimer)
- Surgery including corneal grafting
Patients need to be referred by their GP or by the eye
department of another hospital.
