About us
Bristol Eye Hospital is one of the country's leading specialist
hospitals. The hospital has 24 ophthalmic consultants
supported by a wide range of staff including orthoptists,
optometrists, pharmacists and nurse practitioners.
The Bristol Eye Hospital offers a daytime emergency assessment
and treatment service, 7 days a week.
The Bristol Eye Hospital is known as Zone H. Find out more about the signage system and how to
find locations within the hospital.
If you require the services of an interpreter during a
hospital visit, the Trust has a team of interpreters
whose services we can call upon. Depending on the circumstances,
staff may also use a telephone interpreting service as an
alternative.

Outpatient appointments
To check an existing outpatient appointment, please ring
0117 342 4174. New referrals that are not emergencies need to be
referred by a GP. An optician can only refer a patient to the BEH
in an emergency.

Pharmacy
The pharmacy at the Eye Hospital is no longer providing the

by the Boots Pharmacy in the BRI Welcome Centre.

Dropping off
Patients who are attending the BEH (and have a relative dropping
them off) can park outside with their hazard lights on and get the
patient seated whilst they then find a parking space.
There is also parking directly outside the hospital but this is
limited.
