Information for overseas visitors
Bristol is an hour and a half by car from London. In 2016
it was named one of the top ten cities to live anywhere in the
world, and ranks alongside the likes of Tokyo, Amsterdam, Berlin
and Barcelona. There are lots of green spaces in the city
centre and the harbour area is a good place for bars, cafes and a
walk.
This central area of Bristol is your first choice for the
favourite high street stores and designer brands such as Apple,
Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser alongside numerous others in the
ever expanding Cabot Circus area, or why not head towards Clifton
Village, with its eclectic mix of shops, cafes, dining
experiences, picturesque passageways, beautiful architecture,
gardens, walks and secret hideaways.
There is no shortage of places to visit such as
Clifton Suspension Bridge, the Christmas Steps, the Harbour front
area, and the world famous SS Great Britain.
