How can I get involved
Patients, carers and members of the public are
invited to be involved wherever decisions are taken about care in
the NHS. There are many ways that you can get involved in the Trust
and its activities.
In fact, getting involved in our Trust couldn't be
easier:
- You can join us as a Foundation Trust Member
- Use our 'Your Feedback' form to tell us about
your experiences here
- Contact our Patient Support and
Complaints team
- Fill in a 'Tell us about your care' comment card on the ward or
in the outpatient clinic you are attending
- Use NHS Choices to share your hospital
experience
- Enquire about joining us as a Trust Volunteer
- Please complete a Friends & Family Test card
- If you receive a survey in the post from us please fill it in
and send it back to us
- Healthwatch Bristol, Healthwatch South Gloucestershire and Healthwatch North
Somerset can hear your issues and concerns on health and
social care and are looking for volunteers from groups in Bristol
and South Gloucestershire to help us to bring about changes to
health and social care services
- Share your views and experiences of maternity care via the
website of Maternity Voices, the Maternity Services
Liaison Committee for Bristol, North Somerset and South
Gloucestershire.
- Keep up to date with opportunities to take part in patient and
carer focus groups and other discussions about developments at the
Trust on our events page.
- Find out about joining our Involvement Network and how to
become a volunteer patient interviewer by contacting tony.watkin@uhbristol.nhs.uk
However you choose to get involved and tell us about your care
you will know that you are helping to improve things for future
patients.
Patient Involvement in Research
It is increasingly common to involve patients and the
public in research design and analysis. If you would like more
information about patient and public involvement in research,
please contact Dr Elinor Griffiths,
Research Grants Manager elinor.griffiths@uhbristol.nhs.uk
0117 342 0585). The INVOLVE website is also a good source of
information about PPI in Research.
