Whooping cough vaccine study

Would you like to help improve knowledge of how the whooping cough vaccine protects babies?

The Women's and Children's Research Unit at St Michael's Hospital is trying to understand more about the best time to offer the whooping cough vaccination in pregnancy to provide the best protection to infants after birth.

To do this we are inviting women who are less than 24 weeks pregnant and have not yet received their whooping cough vaccine (in their current pregnancy) to take part in this study. Participants are vaccinated during one of three different time periods, all of which are within the current guidelines in the UK.
If you are interested in taking part, and you are booked to deliver at St Michael's Hospital please contact us:

Amy or Jane at the research office 0117 342 5756 or 07920 083793, or email Research_st.michaels@uhbristol.nhs.uk
Alternatively, contant Camilla or Suzanne at the Women and Children's Research Network 0117 342 0196.
