Lane closure on Upper Maudlin Street
One eastbound lane of Upper Maudlin
Street will be closed to traffic this Sunday (1 February 2015) to
allow access for a crane. The remaining eastbound lane will allow
traffic to pass as usual. Westbound traffic is unaffected. Some
delays should be expected. The traffic management plan has been
approved by the Highways Agency.
The crane will be lifting scaffolding into place on the Bristol
Royal Infirmary's Queen's Building, as part of University Hospitals
Bristol NHS Foundation Trust's ongoing redevelopment programme.
Deborah Lee, Deputy Chief Executive, University Hospitals
Bristol NHS Foundation Trust said: "We realise that some drivers
will find these changes inconvenient and I'm sorry for that, but
sadly these disruptions are unavoidable if we are to achieve our
vision for our hospitals."
