Green Impact Awards

On 13 May the Big Green Scheme, along with the University of Bristol, hosted the Green Impact Awards to recognise Green Teams throughout the hospital and the success of their sustainable behaviours in 2014/2015.

The venue was the Orangery at Goldney Hall in Clifton, perfect for mingling in the garden.

The awards handed out were re-claimed tiles made from Welsh slate. The hamper boxes were donated by Gordano, a local company, and were filled with shredded hospital paper and Fairtrade chocolates, tea, nuts and more chocolate! Altogether there were 21 awards handed out to teams from a range of areas around the hospital. There were 30 hospital staff at the event who enjoyed strawberries and cream on arrival and looked more than happy with the goodies they left with!

The teams who submitted for a Green Impact award and won were:

TLC: C705, C708 C805, Radiotherapy, Consultants in the Eye Hospital
Bronze awards: BHI Admin Team, CLAHRC Health Research Team, MEMO, Pharmacy Informatics, Bristol Eye Hospital Pharmacy, Estates Energy Team, EYE Hospital Theatres, Informatics - CSIP Team, THQ Finance Admin Team
