Doctors swim the Channel!
In less than a week's time, a team
of six doctors and surgeons from Bristol Royal Hospital for
Children will battle 21 miles of tidal water, waves and strong
currents, as they swim the English Channel to raise money for The
Grand Appeal. The team have spent the last year training, with the
aim of raising £10,000 to create a specialist bereavement cubicle
within PICU, to give families a much needed private space to say
goodbye to their children.
The team have reached their halfway
target and need your donations to reach their goal! "Every pound
pledged makes us more determined to swim the channel, and fund a
project at the hospital that will make such a difference to
families going through a truly awful time in their lives."
