Congenital heart disease: Trust welcomes national announcement

We welcome the announcement today by NHS England that patients will benefit from national action to ensure core standards of quality and sustainability apply across all specialist services for complex, sometimes life-threatening congenital heart disease.

We have plans to fully meet the key standards and we welcome the assistance of NHS England in progressing these plans. We also welcome their support for rapidly addressing the recommendations of the Independent Review into paediatric cardiac services in Bristol, published last week.
