Dr Richard Scott manages and leads Medical Physics &
Bioengineering services within a large NHS University hospital and
continues to practice as a consultant clinical engineer
specializing in healthcare technology management. Additionally he
has experience in the design and delivery of training programmes
spanning the career framework for medical physicists and clinical
engineers in the NHS. He is active nationally in promoting the role
healthcare science can play in ensuring that we keep "healthcare at
the limits of science" as articulated in the NHS's patient
constitution. He continues to take a leadership role in the
development of international electro-medical safety
standards.
Dr Richard Scott is supported by the heads of the seven main
groups within Medical Physics & Bioengineering. Staff within
each group are based at different locations within the trust.
