Professional profile/background:


Professor Robert Tulloh is a Consultant Paediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiologist with special interest in Pulmonary Hypertension and was Director of Medical Education for University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust 2010-2013. He is Hon Professor in Congenital Cardiology at the University of Bristol. He graduated in Medicine at Oxford University, trained in Paediatrics, and specialised in Paediatric Cardiology. His training locations included Dartmouth Medical School, Johns Hopkins Hospital and two years as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Child Health, London, undertaking research work on neonatal pulmonary hypertension. Currently he manages the South West and South Wales ACHD Pulmonary Hypertension Service.

He is involved actively in research: to develop new methods of assessing and treating pulmonary hypertension in children and adults with congenital heart disease: Kawasaki disease and also Viruses in Congenital heart disease. He been involved in education and teaching and has written several educational book chapters, has more than 120 published papers and has given over 130 presentations at international meetings.
