Professional profile/background:

Dr Matthew T Gilbert qualified in medicine in 1995 before going
on to specialise in Psychiatry. He completed his Psychiatric
Training at the Maudsley Hospital before taking up a Consultant
position on completion of specialist training in 2003. Dr
Gilbert continued to work in Community Child and Adolescent Mental
Health services until 2015 specialising in Neurodevelopmental
disorders. He now works as Consultant Neuropsychiatrist to
the Children's Epilepsy Surgery service and Paediatric Liaison
Psychiatrist to Bristol Royal Children's Hospital.
