Completed undergraduate medical training at University of
Stellenbosch, South Africa. Trained in Paediatrics both in South
Africa and the United Kingdom before embarking on training in
Paediatric Intensive Care in the UK and Melbourne, Australia.
Appointed as Consultant in PICU at Bristol Royal Hospital for
Children since 2004.
Director Bristol Paediatric Simulation Programme since 2007 and
together with key faculty has developed the programme to one of the
leading Paediatric Simulation Programmes internationally. Only
programme in UK to train cardiac surgical teams using cutting edge
simulation technology to simulate cardiopulmonary bypass.
Recently appointed as chair of Bristol Medical Simulation Centre
Steering Committee.
