25 March 2017
Registered nurses and nursing assistants open day
Are you passionate about nursing care? If so, then we would like
to hear from you. We are holding an Open Day at the South Bristol
Community Hospital on the 25 March 2017 from
10.00-13.00. We are looking for Registered Nurses
and Nursing Assistants who share our values with a need to make a
difference.
There are many reasons why our staff enjoy working at South
Bristol Community Hospital; many live locally in South Bristol or
North Somerset. The South Bristol Community Hospital offers an
excellent service nearer to our patients' homes. With excellent
transport links and parking available, the £45million community
hospital opened in early 2012, providing people in South Bristol
rehabilitation, diagnostic tests and therapy services closer to
their homes. It also houses Bristol's first Urgent Care
Centre for minor illnesses and Injuries as well as a Day Surgery
Unit. Our adult inpatient wards benefit from the modern and purpose
built design, offering 50% single rooms and beautiful views
overlooking the adjacent fields.
Working as part of the inpatient teams here at SBCH offers you
the unique opportunity to:
- Be part of a multidisciplinary team
- Work collaboratively with other community agencies
- Develop your skills and knowledge in rehabilitation
- Work with individuals with complex care needs
- Working alongside or with access to: specialist medical
consultants, dieticians, speech and language therapists,
physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, Parkinson's
nurse specialist, stroke nurse specialist, diabetes nurse
specialists, tissue viability nurse specialists, social workers,
early supported discharge team.
Facilities available to staff include: an on-site carpark
(pro-rata tariff applies); street parking within nearby local
residential areas; local cycle routes; bus services available
directly outside hospital entrance; excellent staff facilities
including secure bike storage facilities; on-site café; large
modern sports centre adjacent to the hospital; modern purpose built
building; and a collaborative team working approach.
On the day you will be given a guided tour of the hospital, meet
our talented team and interview if you wish.
