Not only do we have some of the best nursing, teaching and research facilities, it's also the perfect place to live if you like an exciting and vibrant city with excellent transport links. We're investing in our hospital buildings, creating an environment that's great to work in and even better to be treated in. We currently have opportunities for Band 5 nurses in the following areas:

Critical Care Areas

Adult and Paediatric Theatres

Bristol Eye Hospital (Rotation available)

General Medical and Surgical Wards

Trauma and Orthopaedics

ENT

Thoracic Surgery

Upper and Lower GI

Haematology and Oncology

Research

Patient safety and quality of care are of the utmost importance and are central to everything we do, whilst ensuring our patients have a positive experience being cared for by caring and compassionate staff.

With the exception of NQs, we plan to conduct interviews on the same day if you are interested so do complete an electronic application form in readiness. These can be printed off and returned to you when you arrive at the Open Day, ready to submit to your interviewers. If you simply want to come and look around, meet with a variety of staff from various locations and see what we're like, we'd still love to welcome you; and if you'd like a tour in advance of applying, please contact Colleen (details below) who will be pleased to show you around singly or in groups.

Newly Qualified Nurses  will be interviewed at a later date through an Assessment Centre. These will be held on April 28th and May 19th. In addition, you will be asked to sit a Medicine Calculations Test which can be arranged to suit you, in advance of an Assessment Centre or on the same day.

For further information or to book an interview and /or tour, (specifying your particular area of interest) please contact Colleen Paviour - Nurse Recruitment Manager on 0117 342 1558 or email colleen.paviour@uhbristol.nhs.uk.

Please note that internal staff who wish to investigate other locations and discuss opportunities with various recruiters will also be very welcome to this day to make the most of the opportunity of having several recruiters together.
