Information sessions - Ever thought about becoming a governor?
Become a governor at University Hospitals Bristol
There's a great opportunity to become a
governor at University Hospitals Bristol.
As a governor you would represent the interests of member of the
public and patients when key decisions are made at the Trust. It's
a good opportunity to influence the development of the Trust and
delivery of its services.
If you are interested in finding out more about the role of
governor and how to put yourself forward for election, then come
along to an information session and talk to our governors and Board
members to find out more!
All information sessions take place at University Hospitals
Bristol Education & Research Centre, Upper Maudlin Street,
Bristol, BS2 8AE. You can book your place online: www.uhbristol.nhs.uk/elections or call us on
0117 342 3764.
To stand for election as governor, you need to be aged 16 or
over and be a Foundation Trust member in one of the constituencies
that are up for election. It's free and simple to join as a member:
you can sign up online here.
Nominations for elections are open from 7 March to 4 April, a
ballot will take place in May, and successful candidates would join
the Council of Governors for a three-year term from June.
For more information, please visit here or contact Kate Hanlon, Head of
Membership and Governance, on 0117 342 3764.
