Health Matters - The role of carers

It is widely recognised that the healthcare system needs to continue to improve how it works with carers in the planning and delivery of services; after all they are the ones who often know our patients best and will continue to provide vital support and encouragement long after they leave our care.

In recent years, UH Bristol has done much to support carers as equal partners in care. This event, taking place on the evening of Tuesday 30 June (6-7.30pm), hosted together with the Carers Liaison Service, part of the Carers Support Centre, will explore the roles of carers and their relationship with our hospitals, so that carers are recognised and supported as equal partners in care.
