Have a say on the redesign of the front of the BRI
UH Bristol has long recognised that the external appearance of
the Bristol Royal Infirmary is not one that reflects the quality of
care provided from within. Once voted one of the ugliest buildings
in Bristol, we are now embarking upon an exciting project to
dramatically improve the building's appearance having recognised
the importance of making a positive first impression on both our
patients and visitors - people do judge the book by its cover it
appears!
At the end of last year, UH Bristol selected six international
artists to develop concept designs for the redevelopment of the
front of the BRI's Queen's Building. The possible transformation of
such a well-known major Bristol landmark is expected to draw a lot
of interest at a public open day to be held on Thursday 7 March to
view the proposed designs. The six artists are each developing a
concept for the redesign of the front of the Queen's Building. You
are invited to have a say on each of the designs at an open day to
be held in the UH Bristol Education Centre. Please do come along,
we are keen to hear your views.
