University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is delighted
to announce the appointment of Robert Woolley as Chief
Executive.
Following a competitive interview process, the board and
membership council have unanimously agreed to Roberts appointment,
with immediate effect.
Robert Woolley has been with University Hospitals Bristol for
eight years, initially as Director of Performance Management and,
since 2004, as Director of Corporate Development. In December
2009, he was appointed Acting Chief Executive.
John Savage, Chairman of University Hospitals Bristol,
said: The board was delighted to attract such a high calibre
field of candidates to this key role for the NHS in Bristol.
Robert Woolley was the unanimous choice of the interview panel, the
non-executive directors and the membership council.
I am looking forward to working with Robert as he leads the
Trust through a time of unprecedented change. He will be
focusing on our tripartite mission of providing excellent patient
care, teaching and research through sustaining our performance for
patients; building on our secure financial footing and delivering
the redevelopment of the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
