University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is welcoming
two new directors to its executive team.
Alison Moon is the Trusts new Chief Nurse and Steve Aumayer is
Director of Workforce and Organisational Development. Both will
join the Trust in July.
Alison, who lives in Bristol, is the Deputy Chief Executive and
Director of Nursing and Clinical Governance at Yeovil District
Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. She joined the NHS in 1980 and
qualified as a registered nurse at Frenchay Hospital. Alison has a
wealth of experience as a clinician and leader in both primary and
secondary care and a proven record for delivering service
improvements, influencing change and pioneering new roles both
locally and nationally.
Alison says: "I am very much looking forward to joining
University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and to taking on
the role of Chief Nurse. The Trust's biggest asset is its staff and
I will ensure that I get out and about meeting our staff to find
out their views on how we can continue to provide quality care to
our patients in a clean and safe environment."
Steve Aumayer joins from COLT Telecom and was previously Vice
President of Business Support at Orange. Steve has a wealth
of HR experience, including leading a network sharing joint venture
between Orange and Vodafone.
Steve says: I am delighted to be joining the Trust. It is
clear to me that our great team of staff are at the core of
providing the quality of care and service we are known for. I look
forward to working with all of the team to find ways in which we
can improve even further on this performance whilst creating a
fantastic place to work.

Steve. They will both make hugely valuable contributions to
the Trust and their mix of skills and experience will further
strengthen the Trust as a regional centre of excellence.
The Trust runs eight city centre hospitals: Bristol Royal
Infirmary, Bristol Eye Hospital, Bristol Haematology & Oncology
Centre, Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, St Michaels Hospital,
University of Bristol Dental Hospital, the Homeopathic Hospital and
Bristol General Hospital. It also manages the Central Health
Clinic.
