Medical Director Takes New Role

DrDr Jonathan Sheffield, Medical Director and Deputy Chief Executive, is leaving after six years at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust to take up the post of Chief Executive for the Clinical Research Network of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) based at the University Of Leeds.

Jonathan has been a committed champion for patient safety and clinical quality, not just in the Trust but across the South West and we wish him well in his new role.

He will join the NIHR on 1 October.

The Trust will announce interim arrangements for the Medical Director position in due course, pending a permanent appointment.
