What we do
We offer antenatal, postnatal, and intrapartum care, including
home births, in a friendly and welcoming environment that has
received top marks in a quality assessment carried out by the National Health Service
Litigation Authority, and achieved Stage 3 Baby Friendly
Status.
Most women will have midwife led care throughout their
pregnancy, but if you have an existing medical condition, or a
concern is identified in your pregnancy, your midwife will offer
you a referral to a Consultant Obstetrician. This will be discussed
with you at the time.
Although we are happy to see emergency cases when referred by
GPs, we do not have an emergency department here.
Booking your first midwife appointment
In order to contact the antenatal booking team please complete this

Induction of labour workshop
We offer weekly midwife-led workshops
to give women and birthing people more information about induction
of labour and what to expect if they're having one.
The workshops take place via MS Teams on
Wednesdays from 1pm and are usually 45 mins to an hour long.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask any questions they
might have about induction of labour.
If you would like to join one of our
workshops, please email iolservice@uhbw.nhs.uk.
Partners are also welcome to join.
Stop smoking support
We know that giving up is not easy so we have a dedicated,
specialist team who can provide personalised support to help you
stop smoking. We offer a combination of medication and counselling
which is proven to triple the chances of quitting successfully. Find out more
about the stop smoking support.
Infant Feeding Specialist
The Infant Feeding Specialist Midwives provide a tongue tie
division service for breastfeeding babies up to 12 weeks old, and
accept referrals from midwives, health visitors, GPs, and
breastfeeding supporters via this form.
Post-birth contraception
Contraception may be the last thing on your mind when you
are pregnant, but it is the best time to think about it if you want
to delay or avoid another pregnancy. Many unplanned
pregnancies happen in the first few months after childbirth. You
can get pregnant as early as three weeks after your baby is born.

out more about your contraceptive choices.
