Description of service

Providing a prescription dispensing service for all patients attending outpatient appointments at any of the UHBristol hospital sites.

Boots has combined with the specialist knowledge of the Trust pharmacy team to provide a quick and efficient service.

Opening Hours

8:30am - 7:00pm Monday to Friday

9:00am - 1:00pm Saturday

Closed Sunday and Bank Holidays

Important Information

The Blue Boots prescription can only be dispensed at the Boots Pharmacy located in BRI Welcome Centre.

Please do not take your prescription to any other Boots store (including those listed below) as they will not be able to dispense your prescription. You may however collect your medication once dispensed from another Boots pharmacy- see below for details.

Collection Options

1. Collect your prescription from the Boots Pharmacy in the BRI Welcome Centre
2. Collect your medication from a Boots Pharmacy closer to you. Complete the details of the Boots store you wish to collect from (see list below) and it will be ready at the store of your choice within 36 - 48 hours. Please note: If you are attending an appointment that isn't in the BRI hospital there are secure drop boxes located in those hospitals for you to deposit your prescription in. 
3. Home Delivery - For patients with mobility and/or vision issues, Boots can arrange to deliver your medication to your home using their network of delivery drivers. Please ask during your appointment to find out more about this option.
4. Posting - For patients attending from outside of the Bristol area, Boots can arrange to post your prescription. All medications are sent recorded delivery and will require a signature upon arrival. Please ask during your appointment to find out more about this option.
